Steve started playing korfball in 2005 during his first year at Lancaster University.

He played for and coached Lancaster University with the highlight being a 5^th placed finish at BUCS. He took a break from the sport before moving to Scotland and joining Edinburgh Mavericks in 2011. He has played for and coached the team since, and has helped lead them to multiple league titles and SKA Cups, as well as taking part in the Europa Cup on three occasions. He also (with John Wright) coached Edinburgh University for two seasons with the team reaching BUCS Nationals on both occasions and securing a top 8 finish.

Steve is extremely passionate about Beach Korfball and the potential of the format to attract a wider audience, he aims to build on the great work already done by Christoph, Christie and everyone who has been involved in previous tournaments to establish Scotland as a competitive Beach Korfball nation and reach (at least) parity with the indoor game in terms of number of people playing.
